As we saw throughout the year, the COVID-19 pandemic forced many brands to forgo in-person events and replace them with virtual events held online. When the time came around for Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston’s annual Glow Night, they decided to do just that and tasked us with promoting the event and creating a strategy for the medi-spa to host a fun, informative, and engaging virtual event.
The first step we took was determining which platform would be the best fit for Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston’s 16th annual Glow Night. With all the different platforms available to host the virtual event, we looked into each to decide which would be the most user-friendly, engaging, and meet the medi-spa’s requirements for the event. With that in mind, we found Facebook Groups was the best fit and met the medi-spa’s requirements including the ability to make it a private event that required permission to enter, live video capability as well as the ability to post photos and schedule video content, and the ability for attendees to ask questions and communicate with each other and with the Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston staff.
Once we established which platform Glow Night would be hosted on, we moved onto promoting the event. Our in-house design team designed attention-grabbing creative graphics that we could share across Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston’s social platforms. Once published, we used advertising dollars to promote these graphics to existing fans and followers and to the Charleston region until the day of the event. Additionally, we emailed the same graphics with more information on the event to the existing email list.
